[P1] time for choosing

i had a 667 pre-dvi. the screen was great, but for what i do, mostly, the
600 dual ibook i had at the time worked just as well... and when i did do
some "power" computing on the g4 (imovie, photoshop, soundstudio, peak, etc)
the fan would come on, and i swear (really, i don't) you could not record an
acoustic song with the 'book in the same room (the fan, would kick on to the
high setting - and it is extremely loud -propped up on ti-handle). i always
liked the ibook better for carrying around, throwing in a bag, or surfing on
the porch, etc. the ti was quite a conversation piece, however. i had the
ram maxed out running 10.1, and Jag, and it did fine (other than screen
redraws, for some reason). i never had any of the paint, etc. problems with
mine. i got rid of it when i saw, on a japanese website, a water cooled
ti-pad... i was going to get a 12 inch powerbook, but the heat and the fact
that it needs an adapter to drive a 20" apple display led me to the ibook. i
decided to get the 700 cd, max out the ram and use it to really mess around
with, and learn, the new os. i am waiting to see what the rev b 12 and 17
inch powerbooks look like.
