yeah! i need to go find that web page about putting the swap file on it's own partition. i think i will set up a fw drive as my "mess with" drive. duh! thanks for the feedback. that's why i always find myself on my ibook instead of my dell x200 (yuck:P)... although for being a clunky windoze box it is pretty cool, too. but the mac is so much more fun!!!
