Its no speed demon and the dock "genie" effect is jerky but he uses it as his main computer. He uses it mainly for word processing and web browsing. Oh yes. he loves playing the Sims on it. After buying myself a new 800mhz iBook in January, I gave my son my KeyLime iBook running at 366mhz with 320 megs of RAM. It still has the original 10 gig HD in it and he is running OS 10.2.5. His main use is word processing, instant messaging and his growing MP3 collection. So yes, you can run OS 10 on the clamshells but I would recommend putting as much RAM in it as you can afford and also getting a bigger HD. It also depends on what your computing needs are. Although I wouldn't recommend it, but when I had the KeyLime iBook, I used iMovie to edit my family videos. Bill
