Why don't you call AppleCare and ask them? You paid for the privilege, so
you may as well take advantage of it. I've had AppleCare for a whole bunch
of Macs I've owned, and though I've never had to take advantage of the
repair option, I've more than gotten my money's worth from the phone
support, which is included in the price.
