You mentioned that your household already has an iBook. With 2 iBooks, 
you will be missing out on a SuperDrive and iDVD (if you care for 
those), and the bigger iMac screen. And maybe you will find having 2 
portables unnecessary.

If you can, you might wait until January to see what the new iMacs 
bring. Rumor has it that they will have a completely new design.
