Installing combo drive

Hi all. I recently bought a 500mhz icebook, with just the basic CD drive. I
have seen on ebay everal combo drives - which say they are compatible with
all white ibooks. Can anyone tell me if this is true. Is it a case of taking
one drive out, and putting another one in, or are there any other hardware
differences required to upgrade to DVD/CD-RW.
