[P1] wireless router issues

Was it an early model ABS? how long did it last?
I'm not feeling too confident about netgear these days...  
although I don't know the difference between the 614 and 814.  I do recall someone stating they bought the 814 after their trustworthy 614 died, and they were unhappy with the 814.  Maybe it's just that model.
