No, you shouldn't have to do that, but it might be worth a try just to
verify THAT works.  I use wireless (same basic setup as you, actually)
and I see the printer on my Cube (wired, not wireless) just fine.

When you say "both set the same" what did you mean?  The netmasks
are the same?  Printer sharing is turned on on both machines (not
necessary)?  Both machines have the same IP address (BAD)?

Just out of curiosity, what are the IP address of those two machines?
Can you share iTunes libraries?  Can you share iPhoto albums?
Can you cross-mount filesystems (Finder->Go->Connect to Server)?
