[P1] Reading word documents

There is an open-source office suite called OpenOffice. It's available
for free download (~120mb) from www.openoffice.org, and it runs on max
osx. It reads M$Office documents very well (although it will
occasionally misinterpret something - it's not perfect).

Hope this helps,
-Angus
