Not sleeping when closed

Yikes!  My iceBook (white dual USB) was overheated this morning, and 
would not boot.  It was also very, very warm.  After it cooled down, 
it did start up and seems fine.  However, it no longer seems to 
reliably go to sleep when the lid is shut.  It seems to latch, but 
not as tightly as before - maybe.

So other than leaving the screen up so it sleeps normally, what 
should I begin to look for to diagnose and fix the problem?
