While this is generally true, there are some things that can be done to
help with the noise situation. I found some giant oversized mouse mats
that were large enough to go under my inkjet anFor this, a bit more
creativity is in order.
1. Find a box large enough to fit over the printer and the paper stand
with a fair amount of space left around the sides and top.
2. Depending on how lightly the other person sleeps, use either heavy
bath towels or 2 inch foam rubber on the sides and top to insulate the
noise.
3. cut out a minimal exit hole if the box is not large enough to
accomodate the paper tray extension.
4. Most difficult step: find someplace to hide the box during the day.
