9.1 Web Browser Question

Hi there 1 and all:

I have an original iBook running 9.1 and have hit a number of Web sites
that say that my browser is too old to use (carmax.com is 1) I believe I
am using the latest ver of IE that was made for 9.1 (ver 5.5 I think) -
is there something else I can use that will allow me to continue using
Web sites? I am not trying to do anything fancy like run flash or
anything. Any assistance is appreciated.
