A year or so ago, I looked into getting one (settling on a La Cie), but
found that with a 600 mghz G3 iBook, you just don't have the processing
power. Their tech support actually admitted that burning a simple 7 or 8 min
video to a blank DVD would take virtually all day. As you can expect, I'm
still making do with CD's. However, if your 'Book's a G4...different story.
