It seemed he was getting them very early on...right after the blue appeared on the desktop. I finally advised him last night to find a Genius bar or some friend who knew Macs and ask them for help. He appears to not know a lot. He couldn't boot from the installation disk...got blue with lines, but I'm not sure you can boot from it...haven't I read you can't in X? I also advised him to make backups in the future of important stuff. He said he has friend's with Macs. I sure hope someone does. I also advised him to call Apple if all else fails and advised him AppleCare was a good deal, if he doesn't have it. He bought it at CompUSA and couldn't find the ticket as we spoke.
