[iBook] iBook 12 dual USB screen short

In the past few days, my 12 inch dual USB has started having a short 
when I open the screen after sleep.  After opening and closing it 
several times and hitting a key, I've been able to get the screen to 
come on.  I know I've read of other similar problems on this list, but 
I'm too lazy to search the archives.  Solution?  (Take it to dealer for 
repair?)
