[iBook] Safe surfing with Virtual PC 6 on iBook

Folks;

It's me again. With a little digging, I found some info that seems to  
suggest a way to safely run VPC6 through/on-top-of Mac OSX. The PC  
would act as a LAN, thus, I'm assuming, being safe from marauding  
predators on the internet.

Would this be true?  Am I on the right track? The posting at the  
bottom of the link below is where I'm getting the idea.
