Well folks, I'm going to be sending my iBook to Wegener Media in about a week. I need to know something so I can give the Wegener folks intelligent instructions. Does the Clamshell iBook have the notorious 8GB limit that Beige G3s and Wallstreet PowerBooks have? Mine is the original recipe (Rev A) machine. I want to know if I can split the HD into two partitions: one for MacOS X Panther (30GB) and one unformatted partition for Debian Linux PPC, and still be able to boot into either OS. Or will I have to set up boot partitions at the head of the HD for both Panther and Linux? Please let me know, thanks! Michelle PS: If I'm running Panther wtf am I also running Linux? Well, I was only expecting to put a 20GB hard drive in this machine and now it looks like I can get a 40GB drive for the same price. So I can think of having a Linux partition: 1.) because Linux is less resource intensive and I can really make it scream on this machine; 2.) because I should have Linux on here, after all I'm part of a local Linux User Group and it is always good to "eat your own dogfood;" and 3.) because I can! -- Michelle Klein-Hass Box 2273, Van Nuys, CA 91404-2273 Brought to you by Linux, KDE and KMail...try it, you'll like it!
