There are two different plugs on LCD screens. Analog/VGA and digital/DVI. My understanding is that iBooks can only plug into Analog/VGA plugs. Some screens support both types, so I'd recommend getting one of those so that it's more future-proof. I'm going to get an LCD for my iBook soo, and that's what I'll be doing. Also I'll install the video firmware hack..
