Matt, I'm sorry but I don't have a solution. Both my iBook and iMac have been experiencing this problem intermittently for several weeks. Fortunately it eventually finds the signal. Either my Extreme Base Station is getting flaky or there's something about the past month's various software updates that is precipitating the problem.
