Some of you may remember my original post. Part of what is missing in my first message is that the "giving" includes it being a secret Christmas present, and their insistence on paying a fair price for the iBook. What is a fair price? Being a Windows family she sees this as a less expensive way of trying out the Mac before plunging for a new iMac for the entire family. In addition to the specs below, the iBook is in great shape, the screen is unscathed, it has a new keyboard (two weeks old), and has AppleCare until late August 2007. Looking at ebay or sites like powermax.com or everymac.com doesn't give me a real sense of a fair price.
