That camera uses an SD memory card. You'll have to take out the memory card and use an external USB drive to import them into your iBook. If you don't already own a USB drive, you can go ultra cheap and only by one that is USB 1.1 compatible since that is what your iBook uses. But you can spend a little extra and get a USB 2.0 drive and use it on other computers in the future. Personally I like the OS9 version of GraphicConverter to browse and organize photos if you're looking for software also. It's free. By the way.... nice camera :) Tom -------Original Message------- From: Drulard, Ted Date: 02/02/06 08:33:12 To: ibook at listserver.themacintoshguy.com Subject: [iBook] Importing Photos with OS9 Hello all, We recently got a Canon Powershot 610 Digital Camera and I want to put its photos onto my Graphite SE iBook. I'm running OS 9.2. I thought that all I'd have to do is plug the camera into the USB port and the computer would think it's a flash drive and read the pictures. Alas that is not the case. The machine tries to search for drivers, does find them, as says no go. I know that Canon makes drivers for System X, but didn't see any listed for OS9. Does anyone have any suggestions?
