[iBook] Two Questions....

I  just had a quick look at some specs -- if she has an iBook that  
came with "Built-in Bluetooth" and "Built-In AirPort Extreme," she  
probably won't be able to check the AirPort card's connection, and it  
would need to be examined by a specialist. If it's anything like what  
I saw in my iMac G5, these models come with both enabled on a small  
(very small) card, and there's this *ridiculously* tiny antenna cable  
-- mine had come loose, and once I made sure it was secure, my  
reception improved dramatically. But it's probably not user accessible.

On the other hand, if she has an iBook with an AirPort Extreme card,  
she'll probably be able to get to it and have a look to make sure the  
connection is secure.
