[iBook] iBook DVD drive latch pt. 2

Hello again. I bought a bezel (on eBay) for the DVD-ROM drive in my  
iBook. I installed it, but unfortunately, it did nothing to help the  
latching situation. Might there be a way to fix the latching  
mechanism without destroying the drive? I'd rather not pay for one of  
the expensive drives on the 'net if I can help it. Once again, thanks  
in advance.
