Thanks Stewart. The Amazing Slow Downer is EXACTLY what I was looking for, but that registration fee of $45 is hefty! Without registering it only the first 3 minutes of the MP3 file are played. Nice that it can also control pitch.... a good tool for singers that wish to practice to recorded accompaniments. Tom -------Original Message------- From: Stewart C. LOL The Amazing Slow Downer from <http://www.ronimusic.com/> is recommended by my banjo teacher, and the demo version seems to work. It's kinda pricey, tho'. If you're not too bothered about quality, there was a speed control plugins for XMMS that was free. It did sounds awfully like you were listening through a shop-vac, tho'. cheers, Stewart (ps: Hi Tom! I used to be a perlmonger, but now I design wind farms.) _______________________________________________ iBook mailing list iBook at listserver.themacintoshguy.com http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/ibook Listmom is trying to clean out his closets!
