[Low spam risk] [iBook] Widescreen from iBook?

I did (1) and (2), yes. I know (3), and the specs on the Vizio 32"
HDTV say that the resolution is 1366 X 768.

I have it plugged into the HDTV's VGA port. Do you think it possible
that it doesn't support more than 1024 X 768 via the VGA port, and
yet it supports more through the HDMI port? I would go out and pay
for a converter and an HDMI cable if that could possibly do the
trick, but this really is only a temporary measure until I purchase a
Duo Core Mac mini to be the hub of my home theater PC.
