I did (1) and (2), yes. I know (3), and the specs on the Vizio 32" HDTV say that the resolution is 1366 X 768. I have it plugged into the HDTV's VGA port. Do you think it possible that it doesn't support more than 1024 X 768 via the VGA port, and yet it supports more through the HDMI port? I would go out and pay for a converter and an HDMI cable if that could possibly do the trick, but this really is only a temporary measure until I purchase a Duo Core Mac mini to be the hub of my home theater PC.
