Is there any way a cd burning program can damage a usb external cd 
burner?

i was trying to burn a video cd with titanium toast and because i've 
never done it before and wanted to try well it seems like titanium 
toast toasted my cd burner it won't even eject a cd anymore even when 
it's not hooked up to the computer won't do anything for that matter 
just sits there blinking the stupid green read light.
any ideas from the experts.
