The FCC should be limiting itself to W3C standards. There would be no problems except for Microbesoft lawyers. Isn't it the FCC itself that sets modulation standards?

But also. The FCC needs to pay attention to citizens who would really like to have an 802.11qqq which has its own protected block of space in the frequency spectrum.

The idea that millions of small computer users have to share with industrial heating and microwave ovens is simply crazy when equivalent bandwidth is being auctioned off to the highest bidder who then turns out to be bankrupt.

And, by the way, does everyone know that the reason that the US IRS doesn't allow us to send in our tax forms using the internet with a published format is that providers of fee based  tax software got their lobbyists into the act?
