Double icons on my OS9 desktop!

Hello Everyone,

Normally I run OSX, but occasionally have to boot into OS9 on my 
Gigabit Ethernet Dual 500. I run 10.2.6 and 9.2.2. Didn't need the new 
HD updater for OS9.

Today I booted into OS9 and noticed that there were two of every icon 
on my desktop! Except for the Hard Drive and Trash that is!

Each icon appears identical to the other, even creation and 
modification dates.

When booting into OSX, and opening the "Desktop (Mac OS9)" folder there 
is only one of everything.

Anybody have any ideas about what's going on?
