Netscape G4 9.2.2 and OSX.2.6

Hi everyone,
    This is my first query to the G4 group. Hope someone out there has 
been there...done that! Heres the problem:

    I had a problem booting up my G4 today into my OS9.2.2 (several 
tries, got the chime but no disk action) and after removing and testing 
the battery (it was good) it booted. To be sure there wasn't a disk 
problem I ran my Norton Utilities 5.0.3. I then booted my Netscape via 
my desktop alias, and it came up as a newly installed version without my 
bookmarks, address book, and my saved email (which I need to find if its 
still there on my hard drive somewhere).
    I decided to check my OSX.2.6 and it also booted as a brand new 
installation. I had to go thru the initial questions for registration, ect!

Has anybody out ther got a clue as to what happened here? Any way I 
might recover at least my Netscape Bookmarks, Address Book and saved 
email? Thanks in advance to all!
