[G4] Quicktime/i-pod Question

Like a million other people this Christmas, I received an i-pod  
video.  I tried importing some Quicktime clips I have, but it says  
that it can't be done. I figured out it was because of the size (too  
big)
My question is if I have Quicktime Pro, can I convert the resolution  
of these files?
