Hi All-

I am rather new to this list, but I had similar problems installing panther 
on my home G4. After removing and playing with a number of options related 
to video cards and the processor, I found that removing all of the memory 
except one stick allowed the install to continue. It may be a memory issue 
or something odd in the install process (I can run with all of the sticks 
after the install with no problems). Good luck -
