[G4] OpenFirmware can't open bootdevice anymore

It can't be the Startup Disk control panel - i used this hundred times 
befor without any problems. But maybe it was the ATTO tool for my SCSI 
disks :(
My OsX sytem partition seems to be intact, i checked this with Disk 
Utility... But some of the other (bootstrap... wahtever) partitions is 
probably crap. There MUST be a tool soewhere to correct this without the 
need of reinstalling everything :(
