John

Morning

First off I was referring to a marketing motivation phase KISS... not
to you directly... guess marketing guys like myself never quite leave
the office... any way sorry if you missed understood! I trust I'm
still on your good side.. after all were still speaking to each other...

There are a number of places where if not forcefully removed via a
can of air, from time to time will build up and yes duct collecting
on the fan can cause it to jam up and burn out... if you come a cross
such it best to replace fan. Start with the problem areas and end
with a easy areas... hopefully the dust will end up anywhere but in
the case.

By the are you related to David Niven the English actor that I grew
up watching in my youth?

Hi Rick,

Not sure I like being called stupid, but where exactly do you think
the dust goes when you blow air into the case?

I mentioned the trap behind the fan because I thought my case was
clean until I removed the fan assembly. Other G4 owners may benefit.

I also found one G4 in which the power supply fan did not work.
Looked like it had been that way all its life. I replaced the fan.

G4 or not to G4? That is the question.
