[G4] Digital Audio running Panther

I have an odd problem.  My file server machine is set up to email me  
if there is an error while running Chronosync.  No problem there, but  
each time it does it also checks the email on that account which I  
don't want it to do.  I use Mail and only have the single account  
setup on it for the specific purpose mentioned above.  Is there a way  
to not have Mail receive when it sends?
