STUPID Apple. They basically believe DVD to be superior to VCD 
because they're a bunch of rich executives in Silicon Valley. They 
believe (rightfully, but still) that VCD is an "only for pirates" 
tool and they made a conscious decision to exclude support for it 
from OS X.

Lame, lame, lame. Have they ever heard of Asia? It's kind of a 
well-known part of the world, and VCD has totally replaced the VCR 
here.
