** iMovie 2 project in iLife results in a disaster **

Hi listas,

Maybe a simple one for you...
Yesterday I welcomed my new iMac G4 17inch with iLife.
I planned to work on a one hour movie I had on a external HD (made in 
IMovie 2.x.x)
It took a while to open so I thought the mac was hanging an forced to 
quit iMovie.
The second time it opens and both timelines contains all movie but when 
I play the movie I have only 10 miutes left.
The rest is black and with no sound.
Is there a problem with the indexfile or what?

Anyone?
