Guys, sent this out a while back but still no solution yet:
Any ideas/ advice/experience for some good software
- for point to point video conferencing/video phone for OSX ( i don't
want chat groups or WAN chat)
- enabled for DV firewire cameras (not USB) - using SONY DSRPD150 and
DSRPDX10 each side.
- full duplex across IP (ok I can tolerate some delay)
- point to point only (a->B and B -> A) - no "chat group" facility
- reasonable audio
- FPS?- 25 sounds good but will settle for less (only talking heads
- camera sources are DVCAMs (PD150 and PDX10) via firewire with own
audio or AUDIO from TI' inbiuld mic, output from speakers in Ti
- no fancy gimmicks - just (I wanna see and hear them, they wanna hear
and see me)
- SHAREWARE ok .. but dont mind paying
I have been trying SQUIDCAM agian just now and I cannot get to work at
all. It doesn't see my camera attached to the firewire input. THe
recommended drivers seem to be USB based.. (i.e. from
http://www.ioxperts.com). AT $USD25.00 per copy sounds great BUT I cant
get the demo up.
any ideas and success stories welcome.
