But I've had some strange things happen in this area. On my iMac 800 MHz, I have to check the scratch disk list at the start of every project. There seems to be some situations where the scratch disk list reverts to the default of listing only my internal drive. And on the last project, the captured video was split between internal and external drives. The manual says that FCE automatically sends captured video to whichever scratch disk has the most space available. I suppose, if your external drive is getting full, FCE might switch back to the internal. Steve R.
