Canon ZR 25 Repair

For awhile, I have been getting a "Remove Cassette" message on my Canon 
ZR 25, which has some miles on it. The cassette actually doesn't want 
to come out a lot of the time and the machine has been known to eat a 
tape or two.

Has anyone sent their cameras back to Canon for repair, particularly on 
this (these) issue(s)? Obviously, if the price was right, I'd consider 
it. Any/all thoughts much appreciated.
