Well, between you and Michael Winter, my problem is solved. Thank you.

You gave me a workaround...and it worked!

I also suspect that Michael is right that I need to make room on the 
boot drive to use Toast 6, though I don't know why Toast's Prefs 
doesn't let me put the image where I want. I'll make room and try it. 
And let you know.
