[MPA] Garage Band - Waveforms

A tad OT.  Would Ableton Live be able to arrange
backing loops and tracks for live triggering?  I play
in a band and would like to have my powerbook hooked
right up to a midi controller to trigger backing
sequences to come through the PA for some of the cover
tunes that we do.
