At 1x, it should take about 1 hour to fill a 4.7 GB DVD. The Pioneer 
'04 in my G4 tower takes just over 30 minutes at 2x using Toast. I 
seem to recall once figuring that 1x DVD was near 9x CD, but don't 
quote me on that number.

Any time beyond that is probably iDVD rendering, file prep, etc.
