i wasn't intending to imply that there should have been a cooking 
effect from the laptop's inner high-frequency-workings - but being a 
radiation-style energy, even if the power IS low...  the CUMULATIVE 
affects may not COOK the cells, but rather cause LESS-THAN-HEALTHY 
effects at the cellular level, causing the SURFACE cells to have become 
unhealthy and possibly die...  thus appearing like a radiation burn.

Just like a tiny does of poison won't kill (cook) you, but it may cause 
some damage (burns)...  Radiation burns don't necessarily happen like a 
flame-induced burn...  If you are administered small amounts of poison 
over a longer course of time the effects will be  different than if you 
are given a lethal dose.  some damaging effects aren't immediately 
apparent.
