I prefer my new Al to my old Ti/500 -- it just feels less flexible.

The lighted keyboard (and auto-dimming of the screen backlight) are very
nice when working in a dim room.

I also like the newer keyboard layout, which is slightly different.

I do miss the 3.5 to 4.5 hour battery life.
