Trevor - Great post. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I would have thought that by the time the AL books came out they would have
fixed the heat issue. I swear I seem to recall a year or two ago reading on
one of the forums about users who had heat issues with Tibooks and sent them
back and noticed that the chassy had been changed somehow for better venting
or cooling.

Regarding your internal mike issue...

What I would do if I were you is buy the 20G or 40G iPOD and the $29 voice
memo attachment plugin. That may be a better alternative to using your
laptop to record meetings; although as you say you can also use an external
mike. If you do the iPOD thing, I'd buy via Circuit City. That way if it
doesn't have good sound or pick up the room well, you can return it within
two weeks, no questions asked.
