[Ti] Fried Power Supply?

On another list there's a question about the differences between iBook and
AlBook power supplies, so I go look at my TiBook's white brick (because,
I'm, like, curious) and it shorts out - shooting sparks, ozone, blown out
cord (output to TiBook) and everything. The whole shebang, except for the
burning down the house or frying the TiBook part.

Luckily I have a yo-yo power supply that works with the TiBook just fine.

But I'm also a little paranoid about those white bricks now.

So has anyone else seen/heard of this happening? And, if not, fair warning*!

John / does this mean I have to get a job, to replace my adapter? / jelyon

* I wouldn't be too too paranoid. But on the other hand, I've not been using
my adapter to rope cattle, tow stumps on the ranch, or to tie down my kid
during diaper changes...
