in fact it is a copy of an alias

It means you always have to delete the first alias you created, as it 
no longer has any purpose, which is not elegant, but that seems to be 
how the system works, if you are moving the alias between partitions.

On the same partition, you can move the alias.
On a different partition, you have to copy it.
