recording a long message

	for a while, "Way Back When", when most of us were still using only a 
humble typewriter, we also used cassettes to record a long, 
unfortunately one way, but even so, very "cool" way to send a voice 
message very far, by snail mail, to be reproduced by widely available 
affordable players. I would like to do the same today, but with my Ti 
dvi 800/combo, to produce a CD readable by any player.
	Could someone direct me to a suitable app., or a clear procedure to 
record my voice, for maybe 20 minutes, and what to do with the 
resulting file to allow me to burn it to a cd.
	Thanks in advance for any info and tips, taking into account that I am 
severely computer challenged. hardening of the arteries, I'd guess...
