Director MX 2004

I have downloaded, installed and am trying to run (a trial version 
of) Macromedia Director MX 2004 on my Al-book, under 10.3.3.

It launches and then a few seconds later, it crashes, giving the following Log:

Can anyone help  me with an explanation of what the nature of the 
problem is (if it is disclosed in the above statement) ?

I have of course run Cocktail fixed the permissions with Disk 
utility, re-started.... all to no avail.
The problem is reproducible.  It is about 3 seconds in to the laucnh 
that it quits, spawning yet another Crash Report Window....  the Send 
to Apple button never seems to go blue, though, so they just sit 
there.

Any ideas, anyone??
