Let me second this opinion -- and I find myself manually setting proxy settings for Entourage, IE and Firefox... At least in Mac OS 9, IE was in sync with (i.e. followed or controlled) the proxy settings of the "Internet" control panel. The only browser that correctly adapts to the proxy setting set by the "Location" chosen in the Apple Menu seems to be Safari (not IE, not Netscape 7.1, not Firefox 1.0) -- or am I doing something wrong? Makes me feel glad I have only 4 locations and 1 printer to print to (but I thought you could print to Windows printers in OS X -- but that's another rant or an oversight of mine).
